Is Weight Loss Surgery an option for you?

Does Weight Loss Surgery really work?

Bariatric (weight loss) surgery has been shown to help improve or resolve many weight-related health issues. Frequently, individuals who improve their fitness and health find themselves taking fewer and fewer medications to treat their weight-related conditions.

Improves Heart Health

Bariatric surgery leads to improvement in most problems related to heart disease, including high blood pressure and cholesterol.

A duodenal switch is a combination of bypass/ sleeve surgery resulting in 70 to 80% of body fat loss over a two-year period. A duodenal switch is considered the most successful weight loss surgery option available today.

Adjustable gastric banding (also known as “Lap Band” or “Realize band”) is considered by many to be the least invasive surgery for weight loss.

Gastric bypass surgeries have been performed for over 50 years. After gastric bypass surgery, patients can expect to lose up to 2/3 of their excess weight in the first two years after surgery.

Revision surgery is for those who have already had bariatric surgery but have either regained their excess weight, not lost enough weight, or need a repair. Most of our revision surgeries come from other practices.
